Throughout the year we will offer several opportunities for the adults in our Parish to grow spiritually. Through Bible Studies, “Be Not Afraid” series, Retreats, Couples Bible Studies, and presentations from Fr. Lam there are a variety of options for you.
The Virtues: A Program for Couples
Pope Francis said that the Church is fully involved in the story of every Christian marriage, “She is built on their successes and she suffers in their failures.” (May 2015)
The Virtues program is an invitation for spouses to consider the importance of those key habits that help them grow and mature as persons: The Cardinal Virtues–Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance. The virtues are necessary for marriage. Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance guide spouses in making wise decisions, and in treating each other fairly. They help husband and wife find strength to face difficult moments, and to use self-control to manage their emotions and desires. On the other hand, imagine what a couple’s life would be like if spouses lacked prudence, were unfair, lacked courage, and self-control.
Starting January 2017…more details to come!
Living the Eucharist
Living the Eucharist is a new, parish-based program designed to help revitalize parish life and spirituality through a more profound experience of Sunday Mass. It helps the entire parish—adults, teens, and families—grow in their Catholic faith and live more fully as disciples of Jesus.
Living the Eucharist runs during Lent. Parishioners can take part in adult and teen faith-sharing groups, family activities, devotional and catechetical Lenten readings, and a prayer campaign.
Small groups will be held Monday-Saturday at various times. If you are interested in learning more or registering, please call the Parish office.
