Is a ministry that focuses on ministering to the total development of the high school youth of our faith community and to foster a life-long commitment to the faith.

Renewing the Vision – A framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, a document by the United States Bishops identifies three primary goals for the basis of youth ministry here at Mary Queen of Apostles:

1. Discipleship: To empower youth to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
2. Participation in Church: To draw youth to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the church.
3. Growth: To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

High School youth ministry is more than “youth group”. It encompasses youth nights, service, social, prayer and worship, ministry of the church, leadership, outreach to the wider community, is family friendly and parish supported in prayer, invitation and mentoring.

We encourage all youth to take part in the various opportunities that youth ministry provides, to share your gifts and talents with the parish and the whole world. We encourage all members of the faith community to prayerfully consider how you might share your gifts and talents with our high school youth.
