Thanks for visiting Mary Queen of Apostles Parish Website, specifically in regards to Religious Education!

I am the new Director of Pastoral Care here at MQA. Prior to the beginning of my employment here back in June 2017, the Pastoral and Finance councils here at MQA recommended to our pastor, Fr. Lam Le that our religious education program be combined with our sister parish and cluster partner, St. John Paul II in Cedar Springs. Fr. Lam accepted and approved this recommendation based on various factors including the number of participants in our program, both students and teaching volunteers. We will revisit this arrangement yearly to ensure that this is the best way that we can educate and cultivate the faith of our youth in our Parish Cluster.

For the upcoming school year (2017-2018), Religious Education and Sacramental Preparation Classes for Kindergarten through Eighth Grade will be held at St. John Paul II Parish in Cedar Springs. If your child is not registered in our program and you would like to be, please contact the Director of Religious Education at St. John Paul II Parish, Katie Mendenhall at (616)-696-3904 or by email: Because Religious Education is at St. John Paul II Parish, the expectation is that MQA students will follow the Stewardship Model and come back and continue their involvement in the parish at MQA.

In regards to High School Youth Ministry at Mary Queen of Apostles:

Details will be forthcoming in the coming month. Our tentative plan is to begin around the end of September/early October. Please watch our weekly bulletin, our website, and Facebook for information regarding Youth Ministry.

May we all grow closer to Our Lord through the Intercession of Our Lady!
